With over 30 years of experience in the fitness industry, Robert Francis is one of InForm Fitness’s most seasoned and respected instructors. A cornerstone of our Port Washington, New York studio, Robert brings a deep understanding of biomechanics, spinal health, and the science of strength training to every session he leads.
A lifelong student of exercise science, Robert’s expertise extends beyond the studio floor. He’s been featured on industry podcasts discussing equipment design, program development, and how to train other trainers in the art and science of high-intensity exercise.
Whether you’re building strength for longevity, performance, or injury prevention, Robert’s steady guidance and encyclopedic knowledge make him an invaluable resource. He is often described as a master instructor, a biomechanics expert, and an “exercise historian” with an encyclopedic understanding of the evolution of strength training. His passion for helping people move better and live stronger is evident in every session he teaches.
Robert continues to be a mentor to new instructors, a trusted guide to our clients, and a key contributor to the InForm Fitness mission of redefining what safe, effective exercise can achieve.
Raised in Astoria and Oyster Bay, Michael holds dual Master’s degrees in Exercise Physiology and Strength and Conditioning from Hofstra University. He’s a lifelong athlete — former collegiate wrestler and current MMA competitor, with an upcoming fight at Madison Square Garden. When he’s not training clients or snowboarding, you might catch him lending a hand at his Father’s famous Astoria Queens pizzeria, Nonna’s.
His knowledge, energy, and discipline make him an incredible addition to our Long Island New York studio.
